Chalet Couple/Managers

Description

Based at our largest chalet in Samoens in the Grand Massif.  Chalet Moccand is made up of 3 units and sleeps up to 26 people.  The roles are extremely varied and entail all elements of chalet management for both self catered and catered bookings. The roles are ideal for a couple or close friends.

The roles involve:
• Day to day property management of the chalet units.
• Full responsibility for all guests during fully catered weeks and self catered weeks.
• Creating a welcoming, relaxed and friendly holiday environment for guests at all times.
• Providing tasty breakfasts, cakes and evening meals to include preparation, cooking, service and clearing away on our catered weeks.  Sometimes catering for groups as large as 26.
• Responsibility for the full weekend changeover of Chalet Moccand units, to include cleaning bathrooms, making beds and cleaning windows and communal areas.  Supervision of 1-2 other staff often required.
• Daily cleaning of communal areas and guest bedrooms on fully catered weeks.
• Full management of swim spa.  Daily maintenance duties and running of the properties, from fixing door handles and leaks, to clearing snow.
• Laundering and ironing linens for changeover days. 
• Welcome meet for all new arrivals and 24/7 contact for guests during their stay.
• Assist with the changeover of other chalets and apartments when required. 

Requirements

You must be competent catering for groups, have tons of previous customer focused experience and a highly flexible approach.  Chalet Moccand is also offered as a self catered unit and during these weeks the role may also involve assisiting within other chalets, as well as handling the day to day running of the chalet.

You should have a love for food and plenty of dinner party experience, preparing and serving three/four course meals.  You should also be confident in providing cooked breakfasts for large groups and being totally on the ball at all times of the day. You should be happy getting your hands dirty as cleaning is a large part of a Chalet Managers role as well as basic maintenance duties.  It is essential that you are presentable and articulate, flexible, with a positive attitude and the desire to go the extra mile.  Conversational French would be an advantage.
