Chalet Chef

Description

Work a ski season in Morzine/Avoriaz in the French Alps! Ride & Slide are looking for a chalet chef ( experienced chef in fine dinning ) to take care of guests in our chalet.

The work will involve all the daily aspects of running the chalet. You'll start each day at about 7:30, taking care of everything from laying tables, preparing meals, baking cakes, to driving guests to and from the ski lifts.

You'll usually have time to ski or snowboard between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm, while evening work will last until about 10:30 pm.

Guests will expect you to be bright & smiley even during your worst hang-over, they'll expect you to have exciting & interesting anecdotes to tell them at any time of day or night, and to varying degrees they'll expect you to nurse them through everything from headaches to broken limbs!

We usually try and accompany our guests on the mountain at least once or twice a week. We don't offer guiding as part of the package but if we can get up with them we do. This tends to work out that we arrange to meet up with them after the morning work is finished.

We will work closely alongside you as many of the guests are long-term repeat customers and have become as much friends as clients.

Requirements

One of the couple must be an experienced chef and/or have previous professional catering experience. Candidates must have a mature outlook.

It's essential that you provide an exceptional quality of customer service.
