Description
Talented chalet chefs required in the Alps this winter ski season.
Flexiski currently operate a 32 bed chalet in St Anton, a 26 bed chalet in Mèribel and a 12 bed chalet in Val d’Isère. You will take responsibility for delivering a first-rate chalet catering service in one of these properties.
We aim to give the clients honest, good food (local where possible) presented with flair and imagination. We do not provide set menu plans for our chefs, preferring to give you the freedom to do what you do best - creating a menu for discerning clients that they will love and that you are excited about.
Flexiski provide breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal including canapés for our clients. We look to hire chalet chefs who are passionate about cooking, and who are excited about the opportunity to vary the dishes during the season depending on the number of clients in the chalet. We need our chefs to be experienced and confident, and always passionate about the quality of the food they are creating.
Requirements
- Proven catering experience for 15-40 people, ideally in a chalet environment but certainly in an environment where responsible for the complete delivery of the meal rather than individual components
- Holds or working towards NVQ II or III in catering and hospitality
- Knowledge and experience of working in a commercial kitchen environment, managing budgets and stock and aware of standard hygiene practices
- Substantial experience in menu creation and budgetary controls
- Well organised and dedicated with an ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Confident dealing with clients face to face
