Ski Technician

Description

Halsbury Travel Ltd are seeking a Ski Technician , running a hotel based ski rental shop ,with some sales & for hotel guests only. Shop hours are Monday to Friday 08.30 – 10.00 then 12.30- 13.30, 16.00 – 18.00 Sat/Sun 08.30 – 18.00 and all to suit arrival/departures of guests; duties to include:

• Initially to set up shop racking, shelving, machinery etc that has been moved from another location in new shop all ready to start operations
• Kit-Out & issue and fit boots,skis & adjust bindings to arriving guests- (advance details given of height, weight, experience , shoe size etc)
• Adjust and/or re-issue equipment to guests as required
• De-kit guests of equipment prior to departure
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, waxing, sanding etc of ski equipment
• Keeping proper, up to date records of equipment stock, issue & de-kitting, losses etc.
• Deliver equipment to nearby resorts, kit-out guests on arrival and de-kit prior to departure, collect & return equipment to shop- may require delivering/collection to Interlaken and other Swiss & Austria resorts using Company 4x4/car with trailer.
• Dealing with pre agreed ski/boots upgrades and shop sales – commission based.
• Liasing with hotel management with regard to correct record keeping of equipment rental- all payments for upgrades, sales etc are made via hotel

Requirements

Certified Ski & Snowboard Technician - Boot Fitting – Advanced Certified Ski & Snowboard Technician, with competence & experience using waxing & sanding machinery.

Current Drivers licence reqd & preferably some fluency in Italian or French and towing licence preferred.
