Description
We require a French speaking manager for this forthcoming winter to maintain the smooth running of our 17 room hotel.
You will be expected to play an important and responsible role in the booking system of the hotel. Tasks will include conversing with guests and French suppliers on a daily basis.
The reception duties involve the checking in and out of guests of all nationalities, taking payments and answering the telephone.
Responsibilities:
- Organising of personnel and rota
- Control and recording of bookwork and accounts
- Reservations
- Keeping a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel
- Providing excellent customer service
- Bar duties
- Servicing and setting up the restaurant
Requirements
We feel that strong French language skills, a good head for figures, organisation skills and people management are essential for this role.
Applicants must be able to assist in managing a team of approx. eight staff in a confident and authoritative manner. Applicants should be flexible, as daily tasks, challenges and hours will vary.
Accuracy, problem solving skills and an ability to think on one's feet are required, and applicants should be responsible and friendly with a keen interest in people and customer service.
Previous management experience is essential.
