Kaluma places a lot of weight on the quality of food we provided. For our guests, the food in their luxury chalet is often as important as the skiing and we believe that what we offer is sets us apart from our competitors.

The job would suit either a:
Experienced Second Chef / Sous Chef – would help the head chef in all aspects of running the kitchen. Help with menu plans and cover days off. Would be working alongside an experienced head chef to provide the best service and the best food for our guests.
Would also be suitable for someone having completed a cookery course and wanting to work hard, learn and experience work for a luxury operator
Or a:
Experienced kitchen hand / kitchen porter, willing to work hard, learn from an experienced head chef and gain invaluable further experience. Work to include helping maintain excellent hygiene levels, stock control, food prep and breakfast set ups. The more you learn, the more you will benefit.

·         Kitchen Helper / kitchen Porter, St Anton (Working underneath a Head Chef)

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of breakfast, afternoon tea and evening dinners.
  • Assist with the ordering and/or shopping for all food items from nominated suppliers and checking that any goods delivered to the chalet are quality checked and as ordered.
  • Helping to run an efficient and cost effective kitchen.
  • Maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area, paying particular attention to health and hygiene standards & HAACP requirements.
  • General kitchen duties including food handling, preparation and cooking


  • A recognised qualification or cookery course completion (desirable but not essential)
  • A willingness to learn, work hard and help
  • A desire to improve and experience the luxury hospitality market
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • UK or EU passport, a National Insurance Number, UK bank account
