We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to work in the Arctic with Husky dogs. The role is based in Finnish Lapland from now until April but depending on performance can be permanent.

The role will be varied between August and December with substantial training and fitness programmed for the dogs. December until April will require a commitment to a long working day moving the dogs between locations and taking clients into the wilderness with the dog teams.

Husky experiences can last between 15 mins and two days. You must be flexible and easily adaptable to meet the requirements of any clients. You must have initiative, fast reactions and be able to think on your feet when presented with difficult and potentially dangerous situations.

You will be given full training on feeding, looking after and handling the dogs. In addition you will acquire a number of significant skills including basic Arctic survival, dog 'mushing' and interaction with clients.


The ideal candidate will be:

* Passionate about dogs

* Physically fit and able to withstand long workings days and extreme cold

* Experienced working out doors with outdoor pursuits

* Used to teaching new skills to paying clients

* Friendly and able to communicate effectively

* Hold first aid and any other relevant outdoor qualification

* Hold a full driving license and used to driving with trailers
