  • Start date

  • Duration

  • Job Benefits

£180p/w, central accommodation, food, lift pass, ski and boot hire, insurance and travel expenses to and from the UK.

We are looking for a Chalet Chef to provide an exceptional catered service in our luxury 12 person chalet this winter.
Your job is focused on the kitchen, and you will spend the majority of your time catering. However, as we work in teams, there may be occasions where you will need to help the Chalet Host with their duties. Teamwork is an essential part of the role, so a good manner with other people - clientele and staff - is essential.

For you to enjoy working a ski season with Pure Mountain you must have a genuine interest in pleasing other people, by delivering outstanding cuisine and making our guests feel comfortable and relaxed in the chalet.

Applications from couples will also be considered.

Main responsibilities

Duties would include, but not be limited to:
  • Providing a full English breakfast made to order, afternoon tea, canapes and 4-course evening meal, 6 days a week.
  • Catering for special dietary requirements.
  • Providing an earlier sitting for children's tea, if required.
  • Catering for special occasions (birthdays etc).
  • Weekly stock take, budget control and shopping.
  • Ensuring the kitchen and food storage areas are always clean, tidy and presentable.
  • Maintaining food hygiene, and health and safety in the kitchen.
  • Providing a welcoming atmosphere to guests, which will include some front of house duties.
  • When necessary, assisting the Chalet Host in the chalet, particularly on changeover day (this will include cleaning).

  • High standard of catering qualification, or considerable experience of working in a professional kitchen.
  • Previous winter season experience is desirable.
  • Food hygiene certificate.
  • Must be presentable, organised and have excellent time management and communication skills.
  • You will be working with a Chalet Host and an Assistant so being a team player is vital.
  • We are a small team of staff and we value each and every guest: being friendly, accommodating and helpful by nature is essential.
  • UK driving license is desirable.
