Chalet Chef & Host Couple

We are looking for a mature couple to run our beautiful, high end Chalet Alice in Morzine.  The chalet sleeps up to 14 guests in 5 bedrooms and is of a very high standard.  As such we are looking for a couple with catering and hospitality experience, with a passion for cooking and who are sociable and friendly with a genuine love of looking after people. 

Due to the nature of the job and living and working in a ski resort each day is different, but your daily tasks would include:


  • Cooking and serving breakfast 
  • Baking afternoon tea 
  • Taking the guests to the ski lifts in the minibus 
  • Checking hot -tub
  • Cleaning bedrooms and communal areas 
  • Laying out afternoon tea 
  • Prep of evening meals 

  • Collecting the guests from the slopes from 4pm onwards 
  • Light the fire 
  • Tidy away afternoon tea 
  • Cook and serve evening meals (children's meals sometimes earlier)
  • Serve coffee after dinner 
  • Wash up and clean kitchen 
  • Clean the ski boot room 

Typically you would have from 11am-4pm to yourselves most days.  There is one full day off a week where the guests eat out and we cover the breakfast and cleaning.  One morning you would need to shop at the local supermarkets for the following week and Sunday is changeover day where you would be on-hand all day changing over the chalet and meeting the new guests as and when they arrive.

Your key responsibilities would be looking after our guests every needs, making sure they have the best holiday experience leaving them wanting to return year after year.  We have a high level of repeat guests so it is very important that we maintain our own high level of customer service.  You must be enthusiastic, hard working, energetic, polite at all times and organised.  At least one of you will need to be able to cook to a high standard for large groups, with the other person willing to learn. Preferably both of you will have full, clean driving licences and experience in hospitality. If you would like to apply for the position please send your CV, a covering later stating your relevant experience and why you would like to work with us plus a 6 day menu plan showing meals you enjoy cooking and that you feel would be suitable in a chalet environment.
