Multi-skilled Handyman Required! Spend the Winter Season in the Alps!

As the resort Handyman/ Driver/ Chalet Assistant you will be an integral part of the Ski Weekends team.  The set up and shut down periods will be particularly busy for you, moving supplies between chalets and performing pre/end-season checks on all properties.  During the season you will be expected to liaise with your Chalet Manager to collect and deliver shopping and move supplies around as needed.  You will be responsible for logging and performing all maintenance tasks that arise, alerting the chalet manager if it is a big job and keeping a financial record of materials purchased for each job.  You will be expected to help with transfer day,  service and cleaning in your chalet. 

Principal Responsibilities:? 

-Ensure that our high company standards are maintained at all times and that all procedures and codes of practice are adhered to. 

-Attend regular meetings with Chalet Manager to discuss workload/priorities. 

-Pre-season and end of season chalet checks. 

-Ad-hoc maintenance as required. This typically will include, but is not limited to: fixing door handles, hanging pictures/mirrors/hooks, fixing household appliances (esp. dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, washing machines), changing light switches/plugs/plug sockets, replacing wooden slats on balconies, un-blocking sinks and fixing leaks, painting. 

-Shopping pick-up and delivery. 

-Driving supplies to and from chalets as required. 

-Regular driving duties in our company vehicle, keeping vehicle logs and weekly checks up to date.  

-Flexibility to assist with chalet duties/snow clearing as required.  

-Must be smart and presentable at all times 

-Be on call in case of emergency.  

-Any other work as may be reasonably asked by the Company.

This is a full time role, working hours will be flexible and varied. In return we offer one of the best packages available to winter overseas workers including a full area season lift pass and TWO DAYS OFF A WEEK, plus a salary that gives you, after deductions for tax, national insurance etc, a minimum of £185 PER WEEK, with all accommodation, food and travel paid for!

Requirements

-Multi-skilled Handyman with plumbing and basic electrical experience 

-Full clean U.K. driving license (Must be over 21 due to French Insurance Restrictions). 

-Previous experience of driving on snow and ice desirable. 

-Positive attitude, demonstrating a consistent “can do” and “nothing is too much trouble” approach.  

-Focused, self-motivated and responsible. 

-Team player and able to live and work with other people. 

-Good understanding of customer service. 

-A logical approach to problem solving and the ability to prioritise workload.

  

 

Please note that all applicants must be resident in the UK, have a permanent National Insurance number, a UK contact address, UK bank account and valid European Health Insurance card.? You will be on temporary seasonal contract and will be in resort from late November to April.?
