Outline of Role
The role involves providing support to the General Manager as well as assisting with guest queries, in and around the chalet as required on a day to day basis. You must be very computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft office and used to working with Apple Mac’s . You will need to have excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills and be able to work within a team and also independently. You will also need to be confident dealing with telephone enquiries; a good level of French would be an advantage. This role requires a high level of attention to detail as well as flexibility and a willingness to work in any area of Chilly Powder when required to do so.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to produce weekly information such as rooming lists, timesheets and guest bills

- Sending and processing holiday payment reminders

- Training and monitoring staff

- Planning work schedules for individuals and teams

- Sending pre-arrival information to guests

- Answering general queries both at the chalet and over the telephone

- Updating the Chilly Powder website and social media

- Produce regular video content for social media

- Regularly updating chalet availability on third party websites

- Produce a regular newsletter to be sent to the Chilly Powder database

- Making restaurant reservations for guests on the chalet staff night off

- Ensure Chilly Powder daily and changeover standards of cleanliness and service are consistently maintained in all chalets

- Be professional, prompt and well presented at all times

- Meeting and Greeting customers

- Learn and use guest names as often as possible where appropriate

- Demonstrate a willingness to “go above and beyond” as required to get the job done

- Report any maintenance faults as soon as they occur using our established standards

- Addressing problems and trouble shooting and alerting the General Manager

- Interact and show genuine interest in our guests at all times to create memorable holiday experiences

- Being the ‘eyes and ears’ of Chilly Powder, making sure that all jobs have been achieved at all times by the other members of staff

Other Responsibilities
- Adhere to health and safety legislation and food hygiene legislation at all times, without exception by ensuring that established cleaning standards are followed

- Be self-motivated and demonstrate consistent focus and enthusiasm

- Be a valued team player by taking measures to assist your colleagues when your own work-load allows

- Be aware that we require team members to be fit and able to work throughout the season

- Attend and contribute to a weekly staff meeting to discuss new ideas and improvements


Personal Appearance & Uniform
- Be well presented at all times when working in the chalet, wearing smart, practical and comfortable clothing

- Demonstrate excellent standards of personal hygiene at all times

The successful applicant will: 
* Be both numeric and accurate
* Have excellent knowledge of Word and Excel, used to working with Apple Mac computers with a proven ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures
* Have the confidence to speak with guests, suppliers and staff
* Be able to work under pressure and on your own initiative
* Have HR experience or knowledge
