It’s interesting that a job advert will start with the personal qualities: “dynamic/enthusiastic/pro-active” and then moves to a precise metric of experience: “Two years at a similar level", etc etc! Whereas we often find that the most important thing is a truly shared ethos and a deep understanding of the common aim. This means that the enthusiasm and dynamism go without saying, and there will be an instinctual and passionate adoption of the skills needed for the job.  

To get to the point, we are looking for a Resort Manager here at Hotel Chalet d’Antoine.  Yes, experience running shifts will stand you in good stead…and yes a love and knowledge of managing would be wonderful….but the most important point is a real ardent understanding of who we are and what we do.  If that is you, then you probably already have those other qualities, and you should get in touch sooner rather than later. 

The role of the Resort Manager with SB Ski is both varied and challenging, but for the right person, it will offer a most rewarding experience. You will have the responsibility to organize and manage all aspects of the operation in Megève.

SB Ski has been operating the Chalet Hotel d'Antoine in Megève since 1990 and has become renowned for extremely high levels of customer service both in the ski instruction that it provides on the mountain and for the guest hospitality.

The successful candidate will be flexible in outlook and approach to the daily, weekly and monthly tasks and will have duties ranging from staff management to stock control and from guest satisfaction to chalet maintenance.

You will be highly self-motivated and will need to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative. The working hours may vary greatly during winter and summer seasons, but it will be expected that the Resort Manager will happily work the hours that are required to ensure the continued success of the business.

  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative with pro-active organizational skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Approachable, personable and with an outgoing personality
  • Proven success in managing and working within a team
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the ongoing requirements of the resort operation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of spoken French 
  • Accurate numeric and administrative skills with attention to detail
