As a company which prides itself in serving guests
with delicious food we are looking for enthusiastic and
talented chefs to join our team.
A ski season is a fantastic way to spend the winter and it is a
great way to experience running your own kitchen as at Ski Cuisine
you have the freedom to plan and prepare your own menus. You can
generally expect to work for a few hours in the morning, followed by the afternoon
off, giving you plenty of time on the mountain before returning to
your chalet to prepare and serve dinner.
The role of the chef is to organize the smooth running of the
chalet kitchen and to serve delicious meals with emphasis on fresh
produce and excellent presentation. We expect all our chefs to have
a flair for cooking and to be passionate about food. You will work
along side a chalet host who is mainly responsible for housekeeping
and hosting duties. However, your jobs will overlap and you will
need to work as a team to ensure that your guests are comfortable
and enjoying the high standard of cuisine and personal service for
which Ski Cuisine is renowned. The chef is also expected to help with general chalet duties such as snow clearing, helping with changeover day cleaning and the general day to day running of the chalet.
To get the most out of working a winter season you'll need to be
energetic, friendly and enjoy working in a client facing role.
Due to the UK having left the EU we are currently only accepting applications from candidates that hold an EU passport or a dual EU/UK passport holder or from those that hold a Carte de Sejour with the right to reside and work in France.
You will have two full days off per week, during some peak weeks you may only have one day off but time off in lieu will be given during quieter periods of the season.
We look forward to receiving your application!
