We have 3 positions to fill **EU passport
required**
Joining the HOFNAR Experience is like no
other job in the mountains.
We offer a unique holiday for the independent traveller and with
that what we think is the best chalet job in the Alps this
winter. Working with us isn't about servicing guests but
creating an experience and therefore your role reflects that.
While we expect hard work and high standards, this is the most
sociable chalet host job around. This is not just a job in a ski
resort, but the opportunity to be part of our guests’ holidays week
in week out.
With over 80% returning guests we have a community who get stuck
in from the off. Many feel that our chalet is their second home in
the mountains and with that you will find that as well as
joining the HOFNAR Experience you are also joining a
sociable mountain community. This isn't about being
locked away doing laundry, trapped in a kitchen or cleaning rooms
every day (although there is plenty of cooking and cleaning!).
This job is about creating the HOFNAR
Experience for all of our guests and having fun along the
way. It is almost as if the host (you?) has invited a group of
people to their house in the mountains for a skiing/snowboarding
holiday.
As it is your party you really want everybody to have as good a
time as possible. Many of our guests come along on their own
and as such it is especially important to ensure that everybody
‘feels’ included – whether that be in the chalet, on the mountain
or whatever the group is doing. You are the glue in the group.
When you are the ‘primary host’ you should be 110% committed to
your guests and available 24/7. When you are ‘secondary host’
you should support the other host – but obviously this is the time
for you to relax a little.
You are expected to clean the communal areas, to prepare / cook
breakfast, to arrange a lunch spot, to organise / lead après ski,
to organise lessons, to cook dinner, to suggest activities, to
shop, to entertain, to collect money....to host.
You take it in turns with your co-worker to be Primary and then
Secondary host. The primary host does the bulk of the work and is
‘in charge’ on their week. When you are a Secondary, your role is a
lot more laid back.
As mentioned before this is a work hard / play hard kind of role
and on the surface seems easy... but it isn't and it takes a
certain kind of awesome to be the perfect chalet host with the
HOFNAR experience.
If that's you - get in touch today and let us know why it should
be you
