Description

Our last couple was with us for two seasons and are now continuing their travels. As such we're looking to employ a passionate, friendly, hardworking, active couple to help manage our chalets in Chamonix starting this winter 2020 and then continuing hopefully throughout summer 2021. 

You will mainly be working in Chalet Tissieres, our 9 bedroom chalet in Chamonix (sleeps 16 – 26 people), but depending on bookings may also be required to help out in our 7 bedroom Chalet Rubicon in Les Houches (sleeps 15).


THE CHEF: Your food and your warm personality are an integral part of our chalet holiday experience. You will have full input into menu creation and wine selection to compliment your great food. You will have had significant restaurant standard cooking background and the ability to create and deliver high quality 'fine dining' dishes in winter (6 day meal plan covering breakfast, afternoon tea/cakes & canapes, and a three course meal) and in summer hearty delicious home cooked food for active guests (mixture of buffet service and plated service). You are a team player and will also be required to assist in general chalet duties if and when time allows.


THE HOSTESS/MANAGER will be a warm, friendly, outgoing, well presented, organised individual with an eye for detail. You are responsible for creating a great holiday atmosphere and ensuring the chalet is well presented and meets our high cleaning standards, which involves managing external cleaning staff if and when required. 
Your role involves the coordination of daily bed changes in line with our online booking system, managing dinner numbers, the linen counts in and out to the launderette, the honesty bar, client check out payments, general cleanliness of the chalet.

In WINTER your role involves a higher degree of personal interaction with the clients and you will both be responsible for providing in-valley transfers to and from the slopes in our 8 seater minibuses. This means you will need to be confident and competent drivers.

Applicants must be available from beginning to mid-December 2020 until mid to end of April 2021. Both of you must have the ability to work in France and have a clean with EU or UK + International permits for more than 3 years, be of a mature disposition, and be non-smokers. Ideally one of you speaks a good level of French and both fluent English.


Package comes with exclusive use of a full board off-site 35 m2 duplex chalet with fire place at 200 meters from the chalet, MBU season pass, free ski equipment hire (winter), use of a company minibus and a weekly starting salary of €210 - €240 euros per person per week depending on experience.

Requirements

EU Passport or French working Visa.

Chef to have had recent significant restaurant standard cheffing experience.

Ability to manage budgets and create fantastic menus and food.

Full clean driving licenses 3+ years driving experience.

Ideally one of you French speaking.

Good health and positive disposition.

Hard work ethic.
