We are currently recruiting for a Cook to join our Pastoral Team.
The Team Evolution alpine race academy programme is designed for athletes looking to work within a professional structure that is dedicated to their development both on and off the slopes. Team Evolution provides alpine training opportunities for committed young student-athletes who are looking to pursue their athletic and educational goals, “In Pursuit of Excellence.”
The academy training base in Radstadt, Austria provides a "home away from home" where the student athletes and staff live for the season. In a training environment focused on hard work and commitment, healthy eating and an understanding of nutrition is vitally important. The staffing team is made up of knowledgable and committed pastoral staff, tutors, coaches who are passionate about their roles in developing the athletes and the programme.
In a training environment that is ever changing, the cook is needed to be flexible and happy to adapt plans at short notice, catering for between 5 and 25 people on a daily basis.
Main Objectives:
To provide 12 meals, over a 7 day period (6 lunches and 6 dinners) to athletes and staff
To assist in providing breakfasts 5 days a week
To assist the houseparents with preparing, laying out and cleaning away of breakfast and lunches
To help design a fortnightly menu that will be rotated throughout the season
To shop twice a week for any ingredients that are needed for the preparation of meals.
To ensure the kitchen, cooking area and eating spaces are kept clean and tidy.
To provide support and education to athletes to allow them to make good nutritional choices, including teaching them how to prepare certain meals and snacks
All members of Team Evolution staff will be required to assist with driving, including airport pick-ups, during the season. Applicants should have a full, clean driving license
Remuneration:
Wages are £1,300 - £1,500 per month, for 5 months from mid November - end of April, based on qualifications and experience
Christmas week is off
Shared Full-board staff accommodation in resort, from mid November until the end of April
Travel to and from Austria with Team Staff at the start and end of the season

Qualification/Requirements:
Experience cooking for large groups of people
Nutritional knowledge for athletes
Appropriate Hygiene Certifications
Post carries a requirement to under-go enhanced DBS check
Valid First Aid training
A completed Child Welfare / Safeguarding Course
Clean driving license
Good communication skills, a strong team work ethic, and good inter-personal skills are essential
