Les Coches, France

Les Coches is an intimate, modern wood and stone village, which, unlike infamous earlier developments, has been sympathetically designed, to give the atmosphere of a traditional alpine ski village. There's a selection of shops and restaurants with more at neighbouring Montchavin.

Les Coches is a typic resort of fourth generation. Indeed, it has a village aspect thanks to its buildings imitating chalets with stone, wood and roofs of lauzes. Walking around is made more convenient and pleasant thanks to the split between vehicles and pedestrians traffic.

Since 2003, Les Coches hosts the Vanoise Express cable car which links La Plagne resort and the Paradiski ski domain for creating the largest and most spectacular ski area.
