Wengen, Switzerland

Wengen is a magical resort located amongst the Alpine mountains near Jungfraujoch, "the Roof Of Europe". Nestled beneath Eiger and Jungfrau, Wengen has became a popular place for skiing and snowboarding. Every January, the Lauberhorn Downhill Ski Race commences with challenging gradients of 90%. The resort has 100km of piste ranging from medium to difficult. There's plenty of opportunity to explore the pistes in the surrounding area too. The town has access to a train station, and unusually is a car free zone. Being a petite town, nowhere is too far to walk to.



Even though Wengen is a sweet little town, the fun doesn't stop when the sun disappears behind the mountains. There are many pubs, karaoke bars and live music venues. If you're just searching for a little night cap, the majority of tea rooms serve a glass of wine in the evening. There are clubs and pubs open 7 days a week so even weekend workers can join the party.
