Mont Tremblant, Canada

Mont Tremblant has been Eastern Canada's most famous resort since 1939. The first resort to open in Canada and the second in North America, it is located in the picturesque Laurentian Forest, a short drive from Montreal.

Mont-Tremblant means "Trembling mountain" in French. It stands at 875 meters (2871 feet).

Tremblant has two snowboard parks, one of which has an Olympic calibre half pipe as well as 65km of cross country trails offering superb views.

The resort was bought by resort developer Intrawest in 1991and they have invested around $1 billion to create a spectacular world-class resort, where luxury accommodation, stylish boutiques and cafes line the pedestrian streets of the village.
