Ski Resort Guides

Val Thorens, France

Europe's highest resort boasts the best snow in the Alps and a host of north-facing slopes that prolong the season's best conditions from October right through to May! It's also purpose-built for skiing holidays, but doesn't suffer from the ugliness that so often afflicts that kind of resort..

Part of the famous Three Valleys, with its 600km of combined runs, Val Thorens offers more than enough on its own: extensive slopes to suit all standards, snowboarders as well as skiers. It's also affordable, especially towards the extreme ends of the season, when Val Thorens' snow will outperform any other resort in Europe.
