Vitosha, Bulgaria

Vitosha is close to the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. A gondola whisks skiers & boarders from the city limits to Aleko (1810m). In good snow conditions an off-piste descent of 1295 vertical metres is possible. You will also get some great views from the slopes to the city.

The Bulgarian ski resort of Vitosha has direct access to 6 individual pistes, served by 10 ski lifts. The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible and with skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
